FORTE has record number of papers accepted to flagship circuits and systems conference

FORTE has had a record number of papers accepted for the IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS).

ISCAS is the flagship conference of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Circuits and Systems (CAS) Society and the world’s premiere knowledge transfer forum for researchers in the highly active fields of theory, design and implementation of circuits and systems.

The three of the papers were written by PhD students Patrick Foster at the University of Southampton and Jiawei Shen at Imperial College London these cover their work on FORTE regarding Field Programmable Gate Array based systems for interface with crossbar Arrays and Memristors. Patrick will also be delivering a live demonstration of Electroforming of TiO 2 − X memristor devices Using High Speed Pulses.

Patrick says: “I’m so pleased to have my papers accepted, I never thought as a first year PhD student I would get to demonstrate at ISCAS.”

Professor Piotr Dudek, who also works on the FORTE programme at the University of Manchester, has also had a paper and a confession session accepted, making the Southampton led programme’s total of four papers
